Visão geral

Scope of the Report

The global Aerogel Foam market size is predicted to grow from US$ 1,490 million in 2025 to US$ 3,288 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.0% from 2026 to 2032.

Aerogel Foam is a lightweight, highly porous insulating material that combines the nano-porous structure of aerogel with the flexibility and mechanical resilience of polymeric foam, resulting in extremely low thermal conductivity, low density, and good compressibility. It is widely used in thermal insulation, energy systems, and advanced industrial applications where both insulation performance and mechanical durability are required. The supply chain of aerogel foam begins upstream with raw materials such as silica precursors (e.g., sodium silicate or TEOS), polymer resins (e.g., polyurethane or polyimide), solvents, and additives; these are processed through sol–gel chemistry to form wet gels, followed by aging, surface modification, and drying (often via supercritical or ambient pressure drying) to create aerogel particles or blankets. Midstream manufacturing integrates these aerogel structures into foam matrices through impregnation, compounding, or hybrid foaming processes to enhance flexibility and strength. Downstream, the finished aerogel foam products are supplied to industries such as building & construction (thermal insulation panels), oil & gas (pipeline insulation), electric vehicles and batteries (thermal management), aerospace (lightweight insulation), and cold chain logistics, with distribution handled by specialty material suppliers and OEM-focused industrial channels. In 2025, global Aerogel Foam output was about 60,000 tons with 80,000 tons of capacity, average prices of USD 20,000–50,000 per ton, and gross margins around 37%.

Global key Aerogel Foam players cover Aspen Aerogels (USA), Blueshift Materials (USA), Active Aerogels (Portugal), Armacell (Luxembourg), Enersens (France), etc.
