Visão geral
Scope of the Report
The global White Dextrins and Yellow Dextrins market size is predicted to grow from US$ 124 million in 2025 to US$ 183 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.7% from 2026 to 2032.
White Dextrin is used in the Textile with Starch during sizing of yarn or cloth provides increased adhesiveness, reducing cost of sizing and gives a superior feel to the cloth. White dextrins do not react to chemicals and are suitable for their applications in textile industry. White dextrin is soluble in cold water.
Yellow dextrin has low viscosity and is very sticky and hygroscopic in nature. Used in the foundry as a binder for cores. Yellow dextrin helps in increasing dry strength at the same time being completely soluble in water. It is also used in water soluble glues, as a printing thickener and as a binder in paint. Yellow Dextrin are prepared by heat treatment in presence of chemicals to suitably modify characteristics and properties of starch.
Market Drivers
The growth of the dextrin market is fueled by several interconnected factors:
1. Demand for Natural and Sustainable Products: As consumers and regulators push against synthetic chemicals (e.g., in adhesives, textiles, and food), dextrins—derived from natural starch (corn, potato, tapioca, wheat)—are favored as bio-based, renewable, and often biodegradable alternatives.
2. Growth in Packaging and Paper Industries: This is a primary driver, especially for yellow dextrins. The booming e-commerce sector increases demand for corrugated cardboard, whose adhesives heavily rely on dextrin-based gums. Dextrins are also used in paper coating, tube winding, and labeling.
3. Expansion of the Food & Beverage Industry: White dextrins and lightly converted yellow dextrins are widely used as:
Fat replacers and dietary fibers: Due to their resistance to digestion (resistant dextrins).
Crisping agents in snacks and breakfast cereals.
Carriers for flavors, colors, and sweeteners.
Stabilizers and thickeners in sauces, dressings, and processed foods.
