Scope of the Report

The global Low-viscosity Liquid Polybutadiene market size is predicted to grow from US$ 455 million in 2025 to US$ 825 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9.0% from 2026 to 2032.

Liquid polybutadiene, also known as low molecular polybutadiene, is a low molecular weight polybutadiene and is a liquid rubber without functional groups, referred to as LPB.

Liquid rubber generally refers to a class of oligomers with relative molecular weight of about 2000~10000, viscous liquid at room temperature, and further chemical cross-linking reaction can occur under certain conditions. Liquid rubber has many varieties and a wide range of uses. It is mainly used as a modifier in the rubber and adhesive industry to play the role of plasticizing and viscosity increasing. Liquid rubber used in the rubber products and adhesives industry is mainly liquid polybutadiene rubber, liquid nitrile rubber and liquid isoprene rubber.

Liquid polybutadiene rubber has the advantages of very low glass transition temperature, excellent hydrolysis resistance and electrical insulation, etc. Generally, it has non-functionalized and modified structure, and common modification methods such as maleic anhydride grafting and hydroxyl blocking. Polybutadiene liquid rubbers with different chemical structures are widely used in structural adhesives, electronics and automotive sealants.

Liquid Polybutadiene (LPB) is an important synthetic rubber material, widely used in tire manufacturing, adhesives, sealants, coatings, electronics and electrical fields.

In terms of regional distribution, Europe accounts for 34% of the global market, which is the largest market.

The world's major liquid polybutadiene manufacturers include Cray Valley, Kuraray, Idemitsu Kosan, Evonik Industries, Nippon Soda, Synthomer, etc.

In terms of application, tire manufacturing is an important market for liquid polybutadiene. In addition, the application of liquid polybutadiene in the field of electronics and electrical is also growing rapidly.

The growth of market demand for liquid polybutadiene is driven by a variety of factors, including technological progress, the increase in national strategic security reserve needs, and the expansion of downstream applications. However, the market also faces some challenges, such as high production costs, the instability of the global trade environment, and the emergence of substitutes.

In summary, the liquid polybutadiene market is expected to continue to grow in the next few years, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, and the growth potential of the Chinese market is particularly significant.
