概述

Scope of the Report

The global Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyamide market size is predicted to grow from US$ 2,269 million in 2025 to US$ 3,870 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.2% from 2026 to 2032.

Global sales of glass fiber reinforced polyamide (GF/PA) reached 650,000 tons in 2025, with an average price of $3,541 per ton.

GF/PA is a thermoplastic engineering plastic made by melt blending or reactive extrusion of continuous or chopped glass fibers with polyamides (PA6, PA66, PA46, PA12, etc.). While retaining the wear resistance, self-lubrication, and chemical resistance of polyamides, it significantly improves strength, rigidity, heat distortion temperature (HDT), dimensional stability, and creep resistance, making it one of the most widely used fiber-reinforced thermoplastics.

On the raw material side, polyamide matrix accounts for 55-65% of the formulation cost of GF-PA, alkali-free chopped glass fiber accounts for 25-30%, and additives (coupling agents, heat stabilizers, toughening agents, flame retardants, etc.) account for 5-10%. The monomers of PA6 and PA66 are both derived from the petrochemical route (cyclohexane, adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine), and their prices are highly correlated with the trends of crude oil and benzene. Glass fiber, on the other hand, uses minerals such as quartz sand and limestone as raw materials, which are energy-intensive and sensitive to natural gas prices. Therefore, the cost curve of GF-PA is driven by the dual axes of "oil-based" and "energy-consuming", and the total cost of raw materials accounts for 75-80% of the ex-factory price.
