概述
Scope of the Report
The global D-Psicose market size is predicted to grow from US$ 281 million in 2025 to US$ 486 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.4% from 2026 to 2032.
D-Psicose is a naturally occurring rare monosaccharide and an epimer of fructose. It is about 70% as sweet as sucrose but has extremely low calories and does not significantly raise blood sugar or insulin levels. With a taste and functionality similar to sucrose, it is an ideal low-calorie sugar substitute and can be used in food and beverages.
The upstream of the industry chain primarily relies on bioconversion technology, with the core raw materials being starch extracted from crops such as corn and wheat. This starch is hydrolyzed into D-fructose, which is then subjected to biocatalysis using the key enzyme "D-allulose 3-epimerase (DPE)".In 2025, global sales were approximately 70,500 tons, with an average market price of approximately US$4,080 per ton. The industry's gross profit margin ranges from 18% to 32%.
In July 2025, the National Health Commission of China officially approved it as a "new food ingredient," and the release of this policy benefit directly boosted market demand. Allulose, with its taste highly similar to sucrose and unique processing properties (such as lowering the freezing point and participating in the Maillard reaction), will become the best alternative to erythritol. Because it has 70% of the sweetness of sucrose and is extremely low in calories (only 1/10 of sucrose), it has become the preferred substitute for upgrading "sugar-free" labels.

All MarketResearchReports.com strategic research reports follow a rigorous, multi-stage methodology combining AI-assisted data synthesis with expert analyst validation.
Systematic collection from 500+ verified sources including SEC filings, industry databases (Bloomberg, Statista, OECD), regulatory filings, trade publications, patent databases, and company annual reports. AI-assisted extraction identifies relevant data points across 10,000+ documents per report.
Dual-validation approach: bottom-up sizing aggregates segment-level production, consumption, and trade data; top-down sizing cross-validates against macroeconomic indicators and total addressable market estimates. Discrepancies >5% trigger analyst review.
Company profiles built from public financial disclosures, product launches, M&A activity, job postings (as capability proxies), and supply chain mapping. Market share estimates triangulated across revenue, capacity, and shipment data.
CAGR projections use time-series regression on 5-10 years of historical data, adjusted for identified demand drivers (technology adoption curves, regulatory catalysts, demographic shifts) and demand inhibitors (cost barriers, substitution risk). Scenario modeling covers base, optimistic, and conservative cases.
All quantitative outputs reviewed by a domain-specialist analyst before publication. Data triangulation requires minimum 3 independent sources for every key figure. Reports undergo a structured peer review against our 47-point quality checklist covering methodology, data citations, logical consistency, and formatting standards.
