概述

Scope of the Report

The global Decylalcohol market size is predicted to grow from US$ 100 million in 2025 to US$ 130 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.1% from 2026 to 2032.

Decyl Alcohol, also known as 1-Decanol, n-Decyl Alcohol or C10 Fatty Alcohol, is a straight-chain saturated primary alcohol with the molecular formula C10H22O and CAS number 112-30-1. It is generally supplied as a clear, colorless liquid and can be produced either from natural oils through fatty acid or ester hydrogenation or from petrochemical feedstocks through synthetic alcohol processes. Decyl Alcohol is mainly used as a raw material for surfactants, plasticizer esters, lubricants, metalworking fluids, solvents, personal care ingredients, flavors, fragrances and fine chemical intermediates. The market scope excludes branched C10 alcohols, unseparated C8-C10 fatty alcohol blends and downstream derivatives such as decyl glucoside. In 2025, global Decyl Alcohol production reached approximately 46 K MT.

Demand for Decyl Alcohol is primarily supported by the continued expansion of surfactant production for household cleaning, industrial cleaning and personal care products. Its C10 carbon chain provides a useful balance between solubility, wetting performance, detergency and biodegradability, making it suitable for producing alcohol ethoxylates, sulfates and other specialty surfactants. Growth in concentrated detergents, low-foaming industrial cleaners and mild personal care formulations continues to support demand for consistent, high-purity C10 alcohol.

The development of bio-based chemicals is also increasing interest in natural oil-derived Decyl Alcohol. Producers using coconut oil, palm kernel oil and other renewable feedstocks can supply products with traceable renewable carbon content and sustainability certification. This supports adoption among personal care, home care and specialty chemical manufacturers seeking to reduce dependence on fossil raw materials and improve the environmental profile of their formulations.

Demand is additionally supported by the use of Decyl Alcohol in lubricant esters, metalworking fluids, plastic additives, agrochemical formulations and fine chemical intermediates. These applications generally require tighter control of purity, color, odor, moisture and carbon-chain distribution. As a result, suppliers with integrated feedstock access, efficient fractionation technology and stable product quality are increasingly favored, while higher-purity and application-specific grades can maintain a price premium over mixed fatty alcohol cuts.

This report presents a comprehensive overview of the global Decylalcohol market, covering market size and forecast, segmentation by product type and application, competitive landscape, leading players and regional and country-level outlook.
