概述

Scope of the Report

The global Compression Molded Magnet market size is predicted to grow from US$ 448 million in 2025 to US$ 673 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.0% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global compression molded magne production reached approximately 4163 tons, the average price is 110 usd/kg. Compression molded magnets are a type of permanent magnet made by compressing and molding a mixture of magnetic powder and a polymer binder under high pressure and temperature.

Market Concentration and Major Players:

Internationally, the compression-molded magnet market is highly concentrated, primarily in developed countries in Europe and America. Large manufacturers include Sura Magnets and Eclipse Magnetics. Domestically, however, compression-molded magnets still have significant room for growth.

Manufacturing Process and Market Trends:

The compression-molded magnet process follows a powder metallurgy logic. First, the alloy melt is rapidly cooled into thin sheets, then hydrogen-crushed and air-jet milled to obtain micron-sized magnetic powder. An inert atmosphere is used throughout to prevent oxidation. Then, under a strong magnetic field, the powder particles are oriented along their easily magnetized axis and uniaxially high-pressure pressed into a green compact. If necessary, an isostatic pressing is applied to homogenize the density. The compact is then sintered in a vacuum or protective atmosphere furnace according to a stepped curve to achieve density and undergoes aging heat treatment. Afterward, it is precision-machined to the final shape and position tolerances through grinding and wire cutting. Finally, surface anti-corrosion treatment and magnetization inspection are performed before shipment. For a bonded approach, the magnetic powder is mixed with resin, high-pressure pressed into a near-net-shape in a mold, and then cured into a film.

Globally, demand is being driven by electrification platforms and high-energy-efficiency industrial regulations. Product competition is focused on temperature resistance, demagnetization resistance, consistent surface reliability, and the savings of heavy rare earth elements brought about by grain boundary diffusion. Capacity and deep processing hubs are still centered around the Asia-Pacific region, but Europe and the United States are promoting localized refining and traceability systems for key minerals and supply chain security. Recycling and regenerating magnetic powder and low-carbon manufacturing are gradually becoming entry barriers rather than bonuses.
