概述
Scope of the Report
The global Corn Starch market size is predicted to grow from US$ 29,760 million in 2025 to US$ 40,710 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.7% from 2026 to 2032.
Corn starch, it is a carbohydrate extracted from the endosperm of corn. This white powdery substance is used for many culinary, household, and industrial purposes. In the kitchen, corn starch is most often used as a thickening agent for sauces, gravies, glazes, soups, casseroles, pies, and other desserts. In 2025, global Corn Starch production reached approximately 6560 K MT.
The corn starch market is mainly driven by rising demand from the food and beverage industry. Corn starch is widely used as a thickener, stabilizer, texturizer, moisture-retention agent, and anti-caking ingredient in sauces, soups, bakery products, confectionery, dairy products, convenience foods, and processed snacks. Growth in packaged foods, ready-to-eat meals, frozen foods, and clean-label reformulation is supporting higher consumption of both native and modified corn starch.
Another important driver is the expanding use of corn starch in industrial applications, including paper manufacturing, corrugated packaging, textiles, adhesives, bioplastics, and pharmaceuticals. In paper and packaging, corn starch improves strength, surface quality, and binding performance. In bioplastics and biodegradable materials, it is increasingly used as a renewable feedstock as companies look for lower-carbon and more sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based materials.
The market is also supported by strong demand for corn-derived sweeteners and fermentation feedstocks. Corn starch is a key raw material for glucose syrup, high-fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin, dextrose, sorbitol, and other starch derivatives used in food, beverages, personal care, and pharmaceutical formulations. Growing demand for processed foods, beverages, animal nutrition, and bio-based chemicals continues to encourage investment in corn wet-milling capacity and starch processing technologies.
