Overzicht

Scope of the Report

The global Atmospheric Transport Systems market size is predicted to grow from US$ 1,093 million in 2025 to US$ 1,883 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.8% from 2026 to 2032.

This report focuses on the Equipment Front-End Module (EFEM). An Equipment Front End Module (EFEM) is the mainstay of semiconductor automation, shuffling silicon wafers between ultra-clean storage carriers and a variety of processing, measurement and testing systems. The robotics and peripheral equipment used in the semiconductor wafer processing environment work with unbelievable precision and speed.

In general, the EFEMs include 2 port EFEM, 3 port EFEM, 2*2 port and 4 port EFEM. It also covers the customized type.

Equipment Front-End Modules (EFEMs) are critical subsystems in front-end semiconductor manufacturing equipment, responsible for the precise and contamination-free handling of wafers between FOUPs (Front Opening Unified Pods) and core process chambers. An EFEM typically consists of load ports, wafer handling robots, aligners, buffer stations, environmental control units such as mini-environment FFUs (Fan Filter Units), and vision/positioning systems. The EFEM ensures that wafers are transferred accurately, cleanly, and safely into process chambers such as photolithography, etching, deposition (CVD, PVD, ALD), and cleaning equipment. EFEMs are indispensable for maintaining a Class 1 or better cleanroom standard at the wafer interface, minimizing contamination, increasing yield, and enabling the automation required for high-volume manufacturing in advanced fabs.

The key players of EFEM are RORZE, Brooks Automation, Hirata, Cymechs, and Siasun Robot & Automation, global top five players hold a share over 90 percent. And for sorters, key players are Hirata Corporation, RORZE, JEL Corporation, and Brooks Automation, global top four players have a share over 50 percent.
