Overview

Scope of the Report

Flow Sensor is a medical accessory used to accurately measure the flow of gases in Ventilators and Anesthesia workstations also known as Respiratory gas monitors(RGM). The flow sensor in a RGM measures the flow rate and derives to give Inspired and Expired volume of the patient during ventilation.flow sensor is a device used to monitor the air flow rate of a patient. Flow sensors measure the volume of gas dispensed from the O₂ and air channels during inhalation and exhalation. The relative proportion of gas dispensed from each channel is continuously adjusted to accurately control the percentage of O₂ delivered to the patient. The flow sensor is placed in between the regulator and the flow valve, where regulator ensures the constant pressure supply to the flow valve. It is a mass flow type sensor, which injects the heat into the flow stream and monitor the temperature rise at the downstream location. The temperature range depends up on the mass flow rate of the flow stream and the specific heat of the gas going through the sensor.

Global key Air Flow Sensors for Respiratory Gas Monitors players cover Dräger, GE, RAPHAEL, Honeywell, Siemens, etc.
