Overview

Scope of the Report

The global Coupled-Type Leaky Coaxial Cable market size is predicted to grow from US$ 311 million in 2025 to US$ 489 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.8% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global production of coupled-type leaky coaxial cable reached 46,120 kilometers, with an average selling price of $6.9 per meter. Coupled-type leaky coaxial cable is a specially designed wireless communication transmission line. Its function is achieved by periodically creating a series of small holes or slots on the outer conductor of the cable, with a spacing much smaller than the operating wavelength. Its core principle utilizes the electromagnetic diffraction effect: electromagnetic waves transmitted within the cable excite an external electromagnetic field through these holes, causing current to flow on the outer surface of the conductor. This creates a continuous, long antenna-like effect, radiating electromagnetic waves concentrically into the surrounding space while simultaneously receiving external signals. This design allows it to function as an antenna while transmitting signals, making it suitable for applications such as underground mine/metal mine tunnels, subway/railway/highway tunnels, underground utility tunnels, and large underground spaces. The upstream of the industry chain includes copper/copper alloy conductors, foamed dielectrics and sheathing materials, outer conductor strips and slotting processing technology, connectors and terminal components, etc.; the midstream involves the manufacturing and consistency control (coupling loss, attenuation, VSWR) of the leaky cable body, and the systematic delivery of cable along with line amplifiers, distributors, and network management; the downstream consists of mining communication and rail transit tunnel electromechanical/low-voltage operators. Gross profit margin is approximately 15%–35%.

Global key Coupled-Type Leaky Coaxial Cable players cover LS Cable & System, Fujikura, Amphenol, Roadphone NRB, Antennix, etc.
