Overview

Scope of the Report

The global Feed Grade Taurine market size is predicted to grow from US$ 710 million in 2025 to US$ 948 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.3% from 2026 to 2032.

Taurine is a sulfur-containing amino acid in animals. Its chemical name is 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, its molecular formula is C2H7NO3S, and its molecular weight is 125.15.

In animals, it is involved in the formation of bile salts, anti-oxidation, maintenance of cell membrane stability, cell volume regulation, osmotic regulation, neurotransmitter function, glycolysis and glycogenesis, hypolipidemia, growth regulation, vision and maintenance of calcium homeostasis state and other functions.

1. Adding taurine to the feed in the late egg production period can increase the egg production rate, reduce the feed-to-egg ratio, and improve egg quality. 2. Taurine can promote the growth of tilapia and increase the taurine content of fish meat. 3. Adding taurine to broiler feed can increase broiler weight gain and reduce feed-to-weight ratio. 4. Adding taurine (2kg/t) to broiler feed can significantly alleviate the oxidation state of liver and intestine, and promote weight gain and feed conversion to a certain extent.

According to our Fee Research Center, in 2022, global total production of feed was about 1.2 billion tons. Key producing regions are Asia, Europe and North America, top ten countries hold about 65% of global feed production. China, United States, Brazil and India, as the top four countries, accounted for half of the total feed production.
