Overview

Scope of the Report

Heme iron, also known as heme iron polypeptide HIP, is iron bound to porphyrin in hemoglobin and myoglobin. This form of iron is highly biologically active in the body. It can be directly absorbed by intestinal mucosal epithelial cells in the form of porphyrin iron, so its absorption rate is usually high and is generally not affected by inhibitory factors such as phytate or promoting factors such as VC. Heme iron is mainly found in animal red meat, liver and blood, and is the main form of iron in these foods.

Heme iron is a dark substance with specific chemical properties that enable it to remain stable in various environments and conditions.

In the field of food additives, heme iron is mainly used to increase the iron content of food and supplement the iron required by the human body. It can be directly added to various foods such as flour, condiments, meat products, etc. to improve the nutritional value of food. The specific dosage depends on the type of food and the required iron content, usually adding 0.01~0.2 grams of heme iron per kilogram of food.

In the industrial field, heme iron can be used as a catalyst or oxidant for certain chemical reactions. In addition, it can also be used as a raw material for the production of industrial products such as dyes and pigments, and is widely used in the textile, papermaking, paint, ink and other industries. The specific dosage and usage will be adjusted according to different industrial applications and product requirements.

In agriculture, heme iron can be used as an iron fertilizer to supplement the iron element in the soil and improve the absorption and utilization efficiency of iron by plants. Its dosage will be adjusted according to factors such as soil quality, crop type and growth stage.

In the chemical industry, the application of heme iron may involve its use as a raw material or catalyst for certain chemical reactions, as well as as a component of certain special chemicals. However, the specific use and usage dosage will vary depending on the type of chemical product and the production process.

Global key Heme Iron players cover Sonac Burgum B.V., Xi'an ZB Biotech Co., Ltd, Jiangsu Caiwei Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shandong Pingju Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Pioneer Biotech Co, etc.
