Overview
Scope of the Report
The global PVC-U Pipe market size is predicted to grow from US$ 6,456 million in 2025 to US$ 8,582 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.3% from 2026 to 2032.
In 2025, global sales of PVC-U Pipe reached approximately 3 million tons, with an average market price of about USD 2200 per ton, an annual production capacity of roughly 3.4 million tons, and an industry-average gross margin of approximately 15%.
PVC-U pipe, also called uPVC pipe, is a rigid plastic pipe made primarily from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride resin. Because it contains little to no plasticizer, it offers higher ring stiffness, dimensional stability, corrosion resistance, and long service life than flexible PVC. It is widely used in water supply, sewerage and drainage, irrigation, electrical conduit, chemical fluid handling, and building soil-and-waste systems.
The upstream side of PVC-U pipe is centered on PVC resin (mainly suspension-grade S-PVC) together with stabilizers, lubricants, processing aids, impact modifiers, fillers such as calcium carbonate, pigments, and in many jointing systems EPDM rubber gaskets, metal fasteners, and molded/extruded accessories. PVC resin is usually the single most important raw-material cost driver. The midstream covers compounding, extrusion, sizing/cooling, cutting, socketing/belling, quality inspection, and distribution. Downstream demand mainly comes from municipal water and sewer networks, residential and commercial drainage, agricultural irrigation, electrical and telecom conduit, and industrial fluid handling. In supply-chain terms, PVC-U pipe makers typically source resin and additives from large petrochemical/chlor-alkali suppliers, then sell through their own channels or regional distributors to contractors, utilities, dealers, developers, and industrial users; demand is closely tied to construction, water infrastructure, and irrigation spending, while margins are also sensitive to PVC resin price swings.
Global key PVC-U Pipe players cover Georg Fischer, Spears, Aliaxis, SEKISUI, Finolex Industries, etc.
