Overview

Scope of the Report

The global Screen Baskets for Paper Industry market size is predicted to grow from US$ 773 million in 2025 to US$ 1,064 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.7% from 2026 to 2032.

A Screen Basket for the Paper Industry is a cylindrical or conical precision-screening component installed mainly in pressure screens and pulp-stock preparation equipment to separate usable fibers from contaminants according to particle size, shape and flexibility. It is generally manufactured from stainless steel and uses either narrow slots formed by profiled wedge bars or drilled holes to remove dirt, stickies, shives, knots, plastics and other unwanted materials while allowing acceptable pulp fibers to pass. Screen baskets are used in coarse screening, fine screening, broke systems, recycled-fiber processing, virgin-pulp screening and approach-flow systems.

In 2025, global Screen Baskets for Paper Industry production reached approximately 293 K units, with an average global market price of around US$ 2,700 per unit. The production capacity of Screen Baskets for Paper Industry is approximately 370 K units per year, the average gross profit margin was 28-31%.

The upstream supply chain includes stainless steel sheets, SS316 or SS316Ti wedge bars, duplex-steel or stainless-steel support rings, welding materials, wear-resistant coatings, polishing chemicals, CNC machining systems, precision drilling equipment and inspection instruments. Manufacturers process these inputs through bar forming, slot assembly, resistance welding, drilling, CNC milling, stress relieving, electropolishing, hard-chrome plating and dimensional inspection. Downstream customers are pulp mills, recycled-paper mills, packaging-paper producers, tissue mills, printing and writing paper mills and specialty-paper manufacturers. Screen baskets are supplied with new pressure-screen equipment or sold as replacement wear components for stock preparation, approach flow, broke recovery, pulp fractionation and contaminant-removal systems.

For a typical paper-industry screen basket, stainless steel sheets, wedge bars, support rings and reinforcing components account for approximately 30%–38% of total manufacturing cost; precision drilling, wedge-bar forming, welding, CNC milling and assembly account for 22%–30%; hard-chrome plating, electropolishing and stress relieving account for 8%–14%; engineering, customization and direct labor account for 10%–15%; dimensional inspection, aperture testing, balancing and quality control account for 4%–7%; and tooling depreciation, factory overhead, packaging, transportation, warranty and technical service account for the remaining 12%–18%. Large-diameter, narrow-slot, high-open-area and OEM-compatible baskets generally have higher machining, quality-control and engineering costs.
