Overview

Scope of the Report

The global Spring Steel Ball market size is predicted to grow from US$ 122 million in 2025 to US$ 164 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.3% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global sales of Spring Steel Ball reached approximately 200–230 million pcs, with an average market price of about USD 0.55–0.65 pc, an annual production capacity of roughly 240–280 million pcs, and an industry-average gross margin of approximately 25%.

Spring Steel Balls are compact spring-loaded mechanical standard components used to provide repeatable positioning, indexing, detent, retaining, latching, ejection and light holding functions in machinery and fixtures. A typical ball plunger consists of a threaded or press-fit housing, an internal spring, and a movable ball at the tip. The ball may be made from bearing steel, stainless steel, ceramic or engineering plastic such as POM, while the body can be made from carbon steel, stainless steel, brass or polymer. When an external load is applied, the ball retracts into the housing against the spring force; once the load is removed, the spring pushes the ball back to its original position. This simple mechanism enables controlled end force, temporary locating, indexing of sliding mechanisms, detent feel, workpiece holding, push-off and ejection functions. This study focuses on industrial-grade ball plungers and spring loaded ball plunger assemblies used in machine building, jigs and fixtures, automation equipment, molds and dies, medical devices, food and chemical processing equipment, electronics and precision mechanisms.

Global key Spring Steel Ball players cover MISUMI Group, Otto Ganter, KIPP, Halder, norelem, etc.
