Overview

Scope of the Report

Water-based protective ink is an ink used to protect the surface of printed matter. It uses water as the main solvent and has the advantages of environmental protection, safety and efficiency. Water-based protective ink can improve the gloss, abrasion resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance and other properties of printed matter, and extend the service life of printed matter. Water-based protective ink usually covers the printed matter with a transparent protective film and can be printed using letterpress, gravure, flexo or screen printing methods. The main components of water-based protective ink are water-based resin, pigments, additives and water. Water-based resin is the binder of ink, which can make pigments and additives evenly dispersed in water, and can also provide the viscosity, adhesion, gloss and other properties of ink. Commonly used water-based resins include acrylic resin, polyurethane resin, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, etc. Pigments are the colorants of ink, which can give the ink different colors and effects. Commonly used pigments include organic pigments and inorganic pigments, such as titanium dioxide, carbon black, iron oxide red, etc. Auxiliaries are additives for ink that can improve the fluidity, stability, drying speed and other properties of the ink. Commonly used additives include defoaming agents, thickeners, wetting agents, photoinitiators, etc. Water is the solvent of ink, which can adjust the concentration and viscosity of ink, and can also reduce the cost and pollution of ink.

Global key Water-Based Protective Ink players cover PPG Industries Inc, The Sherwin-Williams Company, Axalta Coating Systems, Jotun A/S, Hempel, etc.
